Minsk and Urumqi to be connected by new direct flight from December 16

The presentation of the new direct flight to China was held at the Belarusian Embassy in the People's Republic of China.

Belavia airplanes will fly to Urumqi. This is a trade, economic and cultural center of northwest China, with a population of 4 million people. It is a key transportation hub between China, Central Asia, Russia and Europe on the One Belt and One Roadroute.

As part of the strategic initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, a large international air transport hub is planned to be organized on the basis of Urumqi airport.

The flight Minsk - Urumqi will be operated once a week from December 16.
