Today is the World Animal Day. This is a significant date against the background of horrifying statistics.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry told how many animals died because of the actions of the “environmentally friendly” (naturally in quotes) West on the border with our country. The victims are about half a hundred. These are bison, roe deer, elk.
The ministry emphasized that the Polish fence disrupted the migration routes. As a result, it created prerequisites for the impoverishment of the population of bison, wolves, lynxes, foxes and badgers. One of the decisions of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee confirms the negative impact of the Polish fences on the ecosystems of Belovezhskaya Pushcha. “If no decisive action is taken now, the Red Book of Europe may be filled with new pages,” the Foreign Ministry summarized.
