CSTO is necessary today - what are its goals why is its potential growing?
The collective security session in Astana clearly showed that the CSTO is not looking for a place for itself on the international agenda, but is creating and strengthening it.
The negotiations did not become a tribute to protocol politeness. Presidents, ministers, and state secretaries did without routine phrases, endless photos, statements of friendship, and signing documents with vague wording.
Approaches to ensuring the unimpeded movement of contingents, cargo, property, and military aviation flights are being optimized. Serious progress is also expected in the development of the forces and means of the entire CSTO collective security system. Moreover, plans are not being built out of thin air. The foundation of interaction has been tamped down and tested. We will talk about the relevance of the Organization and the level of compatibility of military contingents in the "Disposition" project.
The West has a new pastime - discussing where the missiles of the Oreshnik complex can fly. An artistic approach is valued. Analysts and the media draw graphs, determine the flight time, and possible losses. At the same time, a colorful video about the possible destruction of one American Trident missile within the Garden Ring in Moscow received liberal approval.
In general, the state of shock after the strike on Yuzhmash has rather cheerfully given way to a belligerent mood. Contrary to the law of self-preservation, Brussels and Washington are raising the level of tension, promising Kyiv ever denser supplies and long-range missiles. They are giving the war a suicidal credit, creating an image of the enemy from Belarusians and Russians. Well, in front of Trump, the current elites are already trying to bolt the doors of a possible detente, ensuring the transit of escalation.
Moreover, no one in NATO is embarrassed by the fact that ordinary people are quite aware of the destructiveness of the experiment to turn Europe into a powder keg. In Poland, for example, they allowed the publication of an interview with local journalist Mike Krupa. And he spoke about the mood after the use of the "Oreshnik" system.
Mike Krupa, journalist (Poland):
"Finally, the idea that a war with Russia could be destructive for Poland has reached a wide circle of Polish audiences."
In general, normal people in the West look at the trigger of a total war not with curiosity, like their authorities, but with fear. And therefore, the demand for common sense and for common force aimed at ensuring common sense is growing. Perhaps this is why the current session of the CSTO collective security has riveted the attention of literally the entire planet.
The Treaty Organization demonstrates that a unipolar world is far from the only alternative on the planet. This is also evidenced by the growing influence of BRICS, SCO, and the Global South. Additional points of support are the skeleton of tomorrow's system of stability and security. By the way, President Lukashenko has long been talking about the priorities of the new design. And it seems that more and more countries are listening to him.
And the CSTO may just be at the forefront of international processes. The organization still remains an example of integration. NATO produces aggression, sanctions, color revolutions, attempts to stigmatize unwanted authorities, divide countries, and influence elections. The goals of the CSTO are to stabilize, unite, and strengthen. And this is exactly what Eurasia and the entire planet lack now. And therefore the potential of the CSTO is growing rapidly.
The driving force of the allies is largely the military. This year alone, the Organization's member countries held the Echelon, Search, Interaction, and Unbreakable Brotherhood exercises in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the developments of the Russians in the conflict zone with Ukraine are being adopted. Considering that combat experience is a key resource for defense in our time, the CSTO is rapidly gaining combat weight. This was also demonstrated by the recent maneuvers.
