A collapse has occurred in Western institutions responsible for planned unipolar policy. There was a misfire in Moldova, then in Georgia, and there is also trouble with the development of BRICS.
The other day, the US News & World Report published a rating of the world's strongest armies. And everything would be fine, but Belarus ended up in 12th place, ahead of most NATO countries, including Italy, Spain, and Canada. Frankly speaking, we would not have put ourselves in such a place, but here is an authoritative American publication.
I will say right away that a year ago Minsk received exactly the same line. However, back then it was attributed to some kind of accident and calculation error. And now you can't wave your hand at a confirmed result. Moreover, the selection principle is unexpectedly objective for the West.
What is meant? Usually, any ratings in the USA are compiled by trusted experts who can draw any picture and bring criteria to it. In the case of US News & World Report, the situation is different. About 17 thousand people from all over the world took part in the survey. They assessed this or that army based on 73 characteristics. Points were given for each, which were then summed up.
Loyalty to the values of Western democracy was not taken into account. As a result, Belarus lost only to such giants as Russia, the USA, China, Ukraine, Israel, and Great Britain. By the way, in 2024, France overtook us. Quite unexpectedly. I would like to express special condolences to Poland, which was left behind again, shiny with weapons, with its record military budget.
And all this is not a joke. The fact is that the respondents were guided not so much by quantitative characteristics as by the effectiveness of the troops. In combat, mobilization, economic, international, and informational aspects. And in this coordinate system, the responsive, mobile Belarusian army with such friends as Russia and China looks quite solid. At the same time, Minsk uses, first of all, internal reserves to develop its defense potential. Nuclear weapons are a purely extreme measure.
Almost all recent conflicts have indicated a clear trend. It is not the ultra-modern equipment that is more effective in combat, but the one that is used correctly. We are talking about the training of soldiers and officers. We receive experience, the most valuable military resource, non-stop from our Russian colleagues. In this indicator, it is generally difficult to compare anyone in the world with the Belarusian army. By decision of the President, joint training centers operate in Belarus and Russia, and allied exercises are regularly held. In practice, units practice only those techniques that are needed in war.
The results of the American rating have already migrated to many media platforms, where loud discussions have broken out. And according to the rating of mentions on these platforms, Belarus is generally at the very top.
